It was the moment for Victoria, David proposed her on one knee and she definitely couldn’t say no. So here we have the story of another couple; David and Victoria Beckham. They married on 4th July, 1999 in the Gothic Luttrellstown castle, Ireland in presence of just 29 close friends, family and relatives.

Beckham Wedding and Honeymoon

When the priest proclaimed them as man and wife, a single dove was let free symbolizing their love. The most touching thing was that after the exchanging vows they did shed tears of happiness. This was the symbol that their happiness knew no bounds on their weeding day.

The reception had a good 230 guests and it took place on a lavish scale, off course. They didn’t accept any gifts instead preferred to get shopping vouchers. Also, the guests were asked to dress in black or white.

Their honeymoon details and spots were kept under tight wraps and weren’t disclosed for the hardest time to the paparazzi. However, whatever they could manage to get was that the couple slipped off to a villa somewhere in the south of France for their honeymoon. Accompanying them was no one but their infant son, Brooklyn.

Kaka and Caroline Celico wedding

The age difference between Kaka and Celico is relatively notable. Kaka was 23 at the time of the wedding while Celico was 18. However, the two had known each other for years prior to the wedding. They were childhood friends who had known each other for a long time. The camaraderie between the two people has truly been able to show in many publicity photos that have been taken of the couple.

The wedding was a well publicisd event in Sao Paulo. The church that the couple got married in today is still referred to as “Kaka’s Church” to this day. The church even has his 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year trophy. This was donated by Kaka to the church.

The best man for Kaka was a good friend of his. Marcelo Saragosa, another Brazilian footballer who currently plays for CD Chivas USA in the MLS league, served as the best man for the event. Kaka was also the best man for Saragosa’s wedding.

The wardrobe for the wedding was relatively low key for a high profile wedding. Kaka wore a brown vest along with a standard white silk tie. Celico wore a standard white wedding gown with a tied up hairstyle that was very fashionable for the evening.

The couple is still married to this day. They had their first child, Luca Celico Leite, in 2008. The couple also continues to call Sao Paulo their home. This is despite the fact that Kaka has been playing for AC Milan and most recently Real Madrid. It is not certain as to whether or not Celico will be making the trip with Kaka to South Africa in June 2010 for the World Cup. However, it is known that Kaka is still a member of the Brazilian national team.

This wedding is one of the most popular and exciting weddings to have taken place in Sao Paulo. The wedding between one of the world’s biggest football stars and his wife is one that was truly notable and impressive.
