Actress Vivica A. Fox is truly enjoying her recent engagement to Omar “Slim” White. The couple became engaged over the holidays, but Fox insists they are not rushing to the altar anytime soon.

Vivica A. Fox happy to be engaged

Fox exclaimed to PopEater at the Cash Money Records Pre-Grammy Awards party in West Hollywood, “Can we be engaged for just a moment? Geez! Everyone’s just like, ‘Holy moly, when’s the wedding?’ We’re just basking in the glow.”

The former Curb Your Enthusiasm star is looking forward to planning the wedding in the fall. Fox, 46, and White, a much younger 27, look forward to spending time in Miami in two weeks when they will be “hanging out and loving each other,” Fox said. She continued, “He’s a good one. That’s why he’s my fiancé.”

Valentine’s Day Celebrity Weddings

Posted by admin On February - 15 - 2011 ADD COMMENTS Subscribe here

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Anniversary to the many celebrity couples who got married or engaged on February 14. Celebs like Salma Hayek and Adriana Lima chose this romantic day to tie the knot with small civil wedding ceremonies. Kristy Swanson and Pauley Perrette went all out with red hearts and St. Valentine’s themes.

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart

While many get married on Valentine’s Day, others choose this special day to propose.

Christina Applegate got engaged to Martyn Lenoble in 2010; Dave Annable proposed to Odette Yustman in Santa Barbara; Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart were engaged on a family vacation; Vince Vaughn proposed to Kyla Weber at home.

As we bid adieu to 2010 (official year of the celeb celebration), learn how to add red-carpet glamour to your wedding day with these chic ideas.

Ask a friend to officiate…

Of course, it helps if you’ve got a world famous spirituality guru like Deepak Chopra on speed dial, but there’s no reason why you can’t ask a dear, articulate friend to lead you through your I dos. Just get the legal bit taken care of at a register office ahead of time.

Make your hairstyle match the mood of the event

Camilla Dallerup and Hilary Duff both chose cathedral-length veils. But while the Strialy star added tiny boho braids to her half-up style to reflect the relaxed vibe of her Ibizan do, Hil had her hair pulled back into a glamorous high bun to suit the elegant California estate where she tied the knot.

Think ice, ice baby…

Diamonds are most definitely an A-list girl’s best friend – especially when it comes to headwear. Carrie Underwood went all-out princess with a 40ct diamond tiara, while Alicia Keys channeled a goddess vibe in a diamond necklace reworked into a 60ct halo. Crystals will work nicely as a bank-balance-friendly alternative!

…or be a hippy chick

Swap the bling for a ring of flower a la Celia Walden, who wore a freshly woven daisy-chain with a simple centre parting to match her bouquet of wildflowers.

Get inked

Word on the street is, Robbie’s considering a tattoo on his ring finger in lieu of a physical band of gold (though he did do the traditional ring exchange with Ayda on their wedding day).

Pledge your love at sunset

Hey, if it’s good enough for Megan Fox and Anna Paquin, it’s good for us!

Say it with feeling

We confess, we shed a tear or two when we watched Coco Rocha and James Conran exchange hand-written vows on the highlights video from their French chateau wedding.

Serve your cake naked

Not you, the cake! Hilary Duff chose un-iced tiers of golden vanilla cake for a homemade, vintage look. A thin coating of buttercream between layers gave the dessert just the right touch of sweetness.

Send a sweet tweet

Swizz Beatz scored a collective swoon from his followers when he posted a romantic “Wow” and “It’s a brand new day : )” from his wedding. For regular folk, we advise saving the tweets for the ride to the airport for your honeymoon – or have one of your maids do it. Of sister Hilary’s five-star Santa Barbara celebration, Haylie Duff tweeted, “What a special weekend filled with love and beautiful memories”.

Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova, who announced her engagement to British actor Jamie Belman last month, already has an idea of what she wants her wedding to be like.

Petra Nemcova

“Part of it will be more formal and part of it will be just lots of fun and just craziness,” Petra tells Us magazine. “We want a little bit of craziness.”

The model stayed tight-lipped on what exactly the “craziness” would be, but did say that the wedding would likely be held in England. “We’re still figuring out which specific place will be the best,” says Petra, 31. She added that they’re thinking the wedding will be about 150 people, but that they’re mainly going for a low-key vibe.

Of course, the fashionista does have one item already figured out: her wedding dress. “My dress will be Marchesa!” she says, adding that an outfit change (or two) might be in store. “It’s so beautiful and elegant.”

Isla Fisher is an actress who has been in movies such as “Wedding Crashers” and “The Lookout.” Her fashion is described as funky and fun. She combines old world glamor with modern trends. This guide can help you find ways to dress like her.

Isla Fisher

Select simple dresses when you want a casual look. Isla Fisher is often seen in dresses and skirts rather than pants. She looks nice, but is still comfortable.

Put together an outfit that mimics her casual style. An example would be the Self Tie Summer dress from Staxs with the Rosebud Lace Cap Sleeve jacket from Jacqui E. For accessories, wear Pulp Paris shoes from Hannah and Rhodim Plate Cross necklace from Dotti.

Get a dark print skirt and a white shirt. Wear these with a long black overcoat and brown shoes. She wore this outfit with a brown purse.

Copy her red carpet look. Isla Fisher wears low-cut fitted dresses that show off her curves. She pulls off a look that’s both sexy and elegant.

Build an outfit based on one she’s worn. This can be done with a Basic slip from Supre, Tiered Ghost skirt from Staxs and Sachi Delfine shoes from Overland Footwear. Wear the skirt high on your waist.

Go out in a dark-blue gown. Isla Fisher wore a dress that had a halter-style top and flowing bottom. This was accessorized with a silver clutch, diamond drop earrings and a pair of white-gold, diamond caviar bangles. A cheaper option is jewelry made with cubic zirconium.

Wear a purple dress with gold accents. She wore this to the “Wedding Crashers” premiere in New York with a gold bracelet and matching clutch.
