Comedian David Walliams has married Dutch model Lara Stone at Claridge’s hotel in London.

The 38-year-old comedian and the Vogue cover girl, who is 12 years his junior, became engaged in January. They had been dating for about a year.

David Walliams and Lara Stone wedding

When two people get married their photo albums are usually filled with lovely pictures; the bride posing, the best man and ushers, guests, family and sometimes the odd cheeky one of someone sticking their tongue out. But when you’re a celeb getting married, your photo album gets a little more interesting… to say the least!

Saw the much talked about couple, Lara Stone and David Walliams, tying the knot at the gorgeous London hotel – Claridges. After the ceremony it was off to Shoreditch House, the covetable members club, to party into the wee hours. We all know by now that if you are a celebrity getting married, then you invite your celebrity friends. And this guest list was a long one!

Our very own Fearne Cotton provided the first DJ set for the couple. Other guests included Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, Walliams’ on and off screen friend Matt Lucas, funny man Russell Brand, Vernon Kay and Tess Daly (what a gorgeous couple!), another of ours – Denise Van Outen (looking super hot, especially considering she’s only just had a baby) with husband Lee and a rather dashing looking Alan Carr.

Hundreds of white roses and lots of delicious looking cupcakes arrived at Claridges hours before the guests arrived and Lara’s engagement ring is reported to be in the region of £100,000 and from Tiffany! We would have LOVED an invite, if only for the cupcakes!

The couple reportedly danced to Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson’s version of “Beauty and the Beast” for their first dance, reports Marie Claire.co.uk. “It sounds cheesy but it was actually a genuinely touching moment,” one onlooker told Britain’s Sun. The wedding, which cost an estimated 80,000 pounds also included an incredible synchronized swimming display in a rooftop pool!

what the bride wore. Lara donned a corseted gown in ivory washed silk satin, with lace and gold chain trimmed straps, all custom made for her by Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy Couture. Talk about a one-of-a-kind gown. As the happy couple left the reception at Claridge’s in London, however, the bride slipped into this glittering gold frock.

We think the wedding dress is so gorgeous — definitely fit for an A-list model, and we love the idea of changing into something short and sweet for your grand exit at the end of the night. What do you think, are you going to change into another fun frock at the end of the night? Take our poll and share your comments below!
